The road from the Dooars plain climbs through tea estates to Samsing, a village on the edge of the Neora Valley forest, and on to Suntalekhola, where a stream runs through thick woods crossed by a hanging bridge. Rocky Island on the Murti river is a favourite picnic and camping spot.
