About Bauddha Dharmankur Sabha

Kripasaran Mahasthavir, a monk from Chittagong, founded the Bauddha Dharmankur Sabha in 1892 to serve Bengali Buddhists and to revive the faith in Bengal. The vihara on what is now Buddhist Temple Street has a shrine hall, a library and a guest house that has long hosted pilgrims on their way to Bodh Gaya.
