About Central Park (Banabitan)
Central Park, also called Banabitan, is the green centre of the township: a lake with boats, a rose garden, a butterfly garden and long shaded paths. The fair ground beside it, Boimela Prangan, is the home of the International Kolkata Book Fair each winter, one of the largest public book fairs in the world.
