Malda: Gaur & Pandua

Gaur and Pandua were capitals of Bengal in the medieval period. The ruins include mosques with distinctive brick and carved stone architecture, such as the Adina Mosque at Pandua, once among the largest mosques in the region. Malda is also famous for its mangoes (Himsagar, Langra, Fazli).
