Big parks and a gate in the sky
A planned city on the north-eastern edge, built from the 2000s. Its public spaces are on a scale the old city never had: a 480-acre park round a lake, cultural centres, and a ring-shaped gate with a viewing gallery over the main road.

- Mother’s Wax Museum: A wax museum opposite Eco Park.

- Biswa Bangla Gate: A steel arch over the main road with a viewing gallery in a hanging ring.
