Sarat Chandra’s house by the Rupnarayan.
About Deulti & Samtaber
The novelist Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay built a two-storey house at Samtaber village on the bank of the Rupnarayan and lived there for about twelve years from 1926. The house, with its Burmese-style wooden verandas, is kept as a memorial with his furniture and belongings. The village lanes and the river bank make an easy rural walk.
