Adyapeath

আদ্যাপীঠ

A white temple of Adya Ma with three images set one above another.

About Adyapeath

Annada Thakur, a devotee who said Sri Ramakrishna came to him in visions, founded Adyapeath after discovering an image of the goddess Adya in the Eden Gardens lake in 1915. The temple, completed in the 1960s, is unusual: Sri Ramakrishna, Adya Ma and Radha-Krishna are placed on three levels of a single altar. The trust runs homes, a hospital and schools from the large campus.
