Chinese Kali Temple
চিনা কালী মন্দির
A Kali temple run by Tangra’s Chinese community, with noodles as prasad.
About Chinese Kali Temple
A small roadside shrine in Tangra where, as the story goes, a Chinese family’s sick child recovered after prayers under a tree. The community built a temple and has looked after it since. A Bengali priest performs the worship, Chinese families light tall incense sticks in their own style, and on Kali Puja night the offering includes noodles, chop suey and fried rice.
