Balwant Singh’s Eating House
বলবন্ত সিং ধাবা
A Punjabi dhaba from 1926 that serves tea from before dawn.
About Balwant Singh’s Eating House
Opened in 1926 opposite the gurdwara on Harish Mukherjee Road, this dhaba is known for its doodh cola, a mix of milk and cola served in a jug, and for thick kesar chai in clay cups. It opens very early and the pavement outside becomes an all-hours adda for students, taxi drivers and night-shift workers.
