Netaji’s home ground
One of the oldest Bengali neighbourhoods of the south, with a strong Punjabi and Gujarati presence too. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose made his escape from the family house on Elgin Road, and the para’s sweet shops, tea stalls and old market keep a loyal following.
