A residential para at the southern edge of Rabindra Sarobar. The lake was once called Dhakuria Lake, and the neighbourhood is home to Dakshinapan, the open-air complex of state handloom emporia, and a Japanese Buddhist temple on the lake’s edge.

From Dhakuria station walk to Dakshinapan, then cross to the lake and follow the path west to the Japanese temple.
