About St James’ Church (Jora Girja)
Consecrated in the 1860s, St James’ is a Gothic Revival church with two tall spires, which gave it its Bengali name, Jora Girja (twin church), and gave the name to the bus stop outside. It stands in a large compound shared with a well-known school.
