Home of the Sabarna Roy Choudhurys
The seat of the family that held the zamindari of the three villages that became Calcutta. Their Durga Puja, begun in 1610, is counted among the oldest in Bengal. The family runs a small museum, and a row of old Shiva temples stands nearby.

- The 1698 transfer of Sutanuti, Gobindapur and Kalikata to the East India Company was made by this family.
- The Barisha Chandi Mela is a fair held here each winter.
