Cossipore Udyanbati
কাশীপুর উদ্যানবাটী
The garden house where Sri Ramakrishna spent his last months.
About Cossipore Udyanbati
In December 1885 the ailing Sri Ramakrishna was moved to this rented garden house at Cossipore, where his young disciples nursed him. On 1 January 1886 he blessed the devotees in the garden, a day still kept as Kalpataru Day. He died here that August. The Ramakrishna Math maintains the house, his room upstairs and the garden with its ponds.
