- Start at 3:30 PM, when the monasteries reopen after the midday break, and finish at the ghat for sunset.
- Getting to the start
- Baranagar or Noapara metro (Blue Line), then a short auto ride to Cossipore Udyanbati.
- Rides on the way
- Autos run along the road between the stops if you would rather not walk the whole way.

- Cossipore Udyanbati The garden house of Sri Ramakrishna’s last months.
- Baranagar Math The site of the first monastery of the Order.
- Kuthi Ghat The ghat named for the Dutch trading station.
- Kripamayee Kali Temple A riverside navaratna temple of 1848, with hardly a visitor.
