The route
- St John’s Church Begin with Job Charnock’s mausoleum in the churchyard.
- General Post Office The domed post office on the site of the first Fort William.
- BBD Bagh & Lal Dighi Round the tank, with Writers’ Buildings across the water. Exteriors only.
- St Andrew’s Church The Scottish kirk and its white spire.
- Old Mission Church The oldest Protestant church in the city, from 1770.
- Currency Building An Italianate bank saved from demolition.
- Metcalfe Hall End at the colonnaded hall facing the river.
