- Getting to the start
- Girish Park metro (Blue Line), then 10 minutes on foot.
The route
- Jorasanko Thakur Bari The Tagore family house, now a museum.
- Marble Palace A merchant prince’s mansion. Entry needs a permit arranged in advance.
- Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House The restored birthplace of Swami Vivekananda.
- Thanthania Kalibari An old Kali temple on Bidhan Sarani where Sri Ramakrishna sang.
- College Street (Boi Para) The college quarter, cradle of Young Bengal.
- Maha Bodhi Society Temple Close at the vihara founded in the Buddhist revival of the same years.
