Eden Gardens

ইডেন গার্ডেন্স

The cricket ground, and the old garden with a Burmese pagoda beside it.

About Eden Gardens

The gardens were laid out in the 1840s and named after the Eden sisters of Governor-General Lord Auckland. The cricket ground, established in 1864, is the oldest and one of the largest in India. The public garden next to the stadium has a wooden pagoda brought from Prome in Burma in the 1850s.
