About Royal Indian Hotel
Opened in 1905 on Rabindra Sarani near Nakhoda Masjid, Royal is among the oldest Mughlai restaurants in the city. It is known for mutton chaap with rumali roti and for a biryani which, unlike the usual Kolkata style, was long served without the potato.
