About K.C. Das
Nobin Chandra Das of Bagbazar is credited with creating the spongy rosogolla in 1868. His son Krishna Chandra Das took the sweet further, introducing canned rosogolla in 1930 and creating rossomalai, and the shop named after him has stood at the Esplanade crossing since the 1930s.
