Nizam’s
নিজামস
The restaurant credited with inventing the kathi roll.
About Nizam’s
Nizam’s, founded in 1932 behind New Market, is where the kathi roll is said to have been born: kebabs wrapped in a paratha so that customers could eat on the move. The name is said to come from the bamboo skewers (kathi) the kebabs were grilled on. The roll went on to become the city’s signature street food.
