About Mullick Ghat Flower Market
On the river bank below the bridge, growers and traders from across south Bengal sell marigolds by the sackful, lotus, tuberose and roses to the city’s temples, weddings and garland makers. It is described as one of the largest flower markets in Asia. The market is at its loudest and brightest in the hour after sunrise.
