Hatibagan

Theatre para and a pavement market
For a century this stretch of Bidhan Sarani was Bengal’s Broadway: Star, Minerva, Rangana, Biswaroopa and more. Most stages are gone or changed, but the market that spills over the pavements is as loud as ever, above all before Poila Boishakh and Durga Puja.
