About Girish Chandra Dey & Nakur Chandra Nandy
Founded in 1844, this shop on Ramdulal Sarkar Street near Hedua makes sandesh and little else. There is no seating and no display window to speak of: you order through an iron grille. The classic jalbhara, with liquid nolen gur inside in winter, sits beside newer flavours that the shop was among the first to try.
